CoastalWx
It actually was better out west and the trough was west of 00z as well. However, the lead s/w was less amped. These nuances will not be solved for another 24hrs.
Amped
Meh wasn't going to believe it anyway. CMC is actually one of the nicer 12z runs. I break 2". If Euro agrees I'd be happy.
NorEastermass128
Christ...fun for a moment. Looks like nuisance it is. Just give me 2-4" and then unload the Arctic. If I have bare ground next week with temps in the low 20s, I'll lose it.

Clinch Leatherwood
Small little iterations make big sensible wx differences for millions of folks. This is not a done deal. Agreed. Normally we say the ensembles being NW is something to watch. It's close enough that 50 miles makes a big difference between 1-2 and 3-6 and 3-6 and 6-12 I'm expecting 1/3 maybe 2-4 here so far. NorEastermass128
Solid hit Advisory snow (3-6") would be the biggest storm I've seen since I left for Italy January 21, 2011!
Great Snow 1717
Just give me 2-4" and then unload the Arctic. If I have bare ground next week with temps in the low 20s, I'll lose it. For the last 2 years it has been the equivalent of a Pedro Martinez shutout..lol

I do think it will be the biggest snowfall since 1/21 for many coastal folks. And cold behind it to keep it around for a while.

NorEastermass128
It looks like the mean flow will be fast enough to keep a Saturday evening to Sunday morning snowstorm moving quickly enough to keep snow totals from becoming remarkable, but in a snow-starved Southern New England, even a six to eight inch event - certainly well within the realm of possibility - would be welcomed by snow lovers. weathafella
If I get >4 inches its my biggest event since 2/28/11. That 4 inches is by no means a lock.
Clinch Leatherwood
From Noyes I may be misreading the crude Euro maps but the 6" seems reasonable out towards Phil. it looks like about .35" around me on the Euro, more east and we'd likely have OE enhancement in this scenario. CoastalWx
From Noyes This has been sort of progressive for days, but I agree. Also, ern areas could be in the comma head/deform area.
Damage In Tolland
Advisory snow (3-6") would be the biggest storm I've seen since I left for Italy January 21, 2011! 40/70 Benchmark
The Pacific has just absolutely KILLED us....whether it be acting as a large enough impediment to blocking, thus allowing for cutters, or in this case, keeping the flow progressive enough as to prevent a real storm.
