Chicago WX
Eh, late save for LAF, but back to probably 0.30"-ish total...but definitely a move southeast versus the 0z run. Pretty much a congrats CMH storm now.
csnavywx
Well canuck, you can join Alek and I for the "going for yet another futility-record" camp. I thought the 12Z were going to be decisive, but man, that was an understatement. The only thing going is that the critical jet streak in question won't be fully onshore until tonight, but if you wanted big snows, the 12Z definitely wasn't what you wanted to see as far as a trend is concerned. Jonger
It really is. Last January I drove up to Ottawa to meet some friends. It started snowing steadily in the afternoon, continuing into the evening, with an air temperature around -13 degrees celcius. In Toronto, nobody would have showed up to meet me. Up there, everybody did. The snow didn't phase them. In Toronto the avergage public panics if 2" is forecasted. Toronto isn't really Canada anyhow, its mostly immigrants and transplants from what I gather... Sudbury, Thunderbay, Winnipeg and Edmonton... That's Canada through and through. Chicago WX
As if I was clairvoyant, I think the 12z Euro would look pretty close to my first call. harrisale
Well, hopefully this is rock bottom. See what we can do at 18z. Shouldn't have looked at last night's NAM run. sigh.. It was a dream haha. Seems as though the track will be significantly narrowed down by tonight, then we will know for sure what we're getting. Looks as though the jackpot scenario may not play out though. Still thinking at least 10-15cm for Toronto.

Don't think I can remember a time where a storm started southeast, went northwest and the fully came back to its original (more or less) positioning. Usually when Columbus loses a snow event, it's gone for good. Though the last few years, it has gotten pretty lucky vs average climo.
