I am in Capitol Hill, the northern reaches of Capitol Hill, and I can confirm that the ground is soggy from all the rain and, earlier, a brief period of what I suppose by definition were "snowflakes" but really just glorified white rain. I am going to frolick in the puddles on Maryland avenue this Christmas Eve.

Took a drive up in elevation. Unfortunately the 70w ramp on rt 40 was closed due to a tractor trailer being stuck. Seems like ~2.25-2.5" under 600'. Closer to 3" from 800' up and about 4" at 1200' and presumable more as you go up, but I had to head back down the hills. It was still snowing lightly during the drive.

Just came back from dinner in downtown Frederick. Roads are horrible. Saw plows just sitting along the side watching the drivers go by. I would say we got around 1.5"-2". On the way home noticed that the snow was mixing with rain. But the snow is done now. Still it is beautiful and my girls are happy.

Still a light snow shower w/no rain while I was driving (got back about 5 mins ago)...

Should also mention in the 20-30mins I was driving, no roads had been treated nor did I see any snow plows. Looks like Mdot got caught sleepin'.

You guessed right. Like I said we went downtown, Christmas Eve tradition to eat out downtown, and the roads had not been touched heading down and back. I would have thought that they would have at least been treated.
