MN Transplant
You have got to be sh**ing me. It's like a summertime torrential downpour. Impressed that we got ~0.8" liquid after we switched, and there is still frozen precip around. Backyard is a lake, though.

rakat
So far, we have had nothing but rain. While I am glad the ice didn't visit us, I would love to see some snow. I'm located about a hour away from the ice zone. It seems there is a small part of WV that has some extra warm air.
Ian
How much for DCA?...T?...0.1"? I'm hoping for a T so we might still get a shutout thru Dec but they must have picked up at least .1 or .

das
I'm up near Hancock, MD, stuck on I-68 due to a crash up ahead. There is around 5" of sleet and snow on the ground. The density reminds me of the Jan 2011 über-ULL.

snownut
My neighbor in WV just emailed me about the roads as I wrote him about expected road conditions as I head out to plow tomorrow. He is about 500' above me and has just under a foot, he is the HOA head of our road maintenance. Told me our plow crews report a few inches in the valleys and over a foot above 3000'. Should be a fun adventure in the morning. Still freezing sprinkles here in Boyce at 31.7. Great storm even here in little ole Boyce.
FrederickWX
The Christmas Eve storm, and today's storm, have both performed above my expectations. Very pleased. I'm cautiously optimistic about the weekend storm. Great way to end December. Total snowfall is 7" from both storms. IMBY, that's double the total for all of last winter. On a related note, I would much prefer to see light to moderate snowstorms like these, sprinkled throughout the winter, instead of just one or two larger storms. WinterWxLuvr
We now have several inches of cement out there. Light freezing rain for about 2.5 hours. I thought this might be a good storm out here, but didn't expect this. Temp at the high of the day, 30.7. That's another surprise. Ellinwood nailed the snow totals based on the posts I saw.
