Mama2Many
Sleeting heavily here now. It's making quite the racket on the house! WOW!!!!
snownut
Appears my WV place is around the 10" mark as the 10" high rock is buried now? Fall and winter picture with rock in lower right side. Certainly will be interesting to get back there in the morning.
mattie g
I can see the rock.
Solo2
I can see the rock. So can I....maybe 4-5"?
snownut
I can see the rock. Yes the top edge is visible but I will take it even if 9"? back to moderate sleet here in Boyce with a few snow flakes, cold is holding firm even here.
Mama2Many
Now looks like freezing rain out there....
WeatherSeeksBalance
Freezing rain in Frederick, MD (near Ballenger Creek). Ice building up on pine tree branches/needles, weighing them down a bit.
Mama2Many
Going back and forth with freezing rain, sleet and some snow now.....
WinterWxLuvr
5.5 was the final tally before the sleet and freezing rain came with a vengeance. Back edge almost on me. Good that there won't be much rain to take away the snow. Probably warm up now. Still sitting at 29.9.
mattie g
Yeah...moderate rain.

mattie g
We've been raining since about 10:00, but it's been so nasty that the 1" of snow we got still hasn't washed off my car.
Ian
Looks like the storm more or less worked out per the Euro etc from days ago. Sometimes there is too much analysis.
Stormpc
For those north of me, check out the wicked winds associated with this last slug. Showers nearly cleared from my area and had very strong winds briefly from the SE. Sky broke up a bit also.
MN Transplant
Really racking up the rainfall in the last hour. Up to 0.84" on the day.
mattie g
Really racking up the rainfall in the last hour. Up to 0.84" on the day. If only every day could be like this. We could average like 90" of snow each winter.

To be fair, it also had it in Wisconsin, and followed the GFS idea that it wouldn't be a lakes cutter.

Ian
To be fair, it also had it in Wisconsin, and followed the GFS idea that it wouldn't be a lakes cutter. Mostly in the no skill range. I could bump comments about places NW getting thumped from like 5 days ago. It's tricky in marginal temp situations etc but id say it was fairly well modeled overall by the GFS/Euro.. MN Transplant
You have got to be sh**ing me. It's like a summertime torrential downpour. Impressed that we got ~0.8" liquid after we switched, and there is still frozen precip around. Backyard is a lake, though.

rakat
So far, we have had nothing but rain. While I am glad the ice didn't visit us, I would love to see some snow. I'm located about a hour away from the ice zone. It seems there is a small part of WV that has some extra warm air.
Ian
How much for DCA?...T?...0.1"? I'm hoping for a T so we might still get a shutout thru Dec but they must have picked up at least .1 or .
