TUweathermanDD
Heavy snow continues in Dundalk, almost in the perfect spot north of the mix line with heavy returns just funneling in snow.
WinterWxLuvr
10:00 measurement is 1.4....It is really dumping out here now. Great 3 days of winter weather for the northern Shen Valley. I havent gone out yet but can tell by the railing that I'm probably about 2. Must have had a bit more sleet out your way.
Avdave
Past an inch of snow, yay. Temps on my PWS say 28 and closest WB says 27 still, so no change in temps yet. Hmmm This was about 10 mins ago here, loving it
WinterWxLuvr
Just a nice steady snowfall with plenty of stickage no complaints here even when we change to rain It's probably going to be hard to get the low levels to warm. Maybe sleet and freezing rain, but plain rain is going to tough.
Hank Scorpio
Looks (and sounds) like we're starting to transition back to sleet here
D-Train
The dreaded changeover appears to be happening (8 mi S of Leesburg). Sounding more solid than typical flakes.

H2O
Mostly rain with small sleet pellets mixed in. 31 degrees. Indeed. Best storm ever so far this winter for me.
wxdude64
Heavy sleet and freezing rain in Roanoke out in the county I've noticed many locations south of me that had basically nothing change to a snow/sleet mix and traffic cameras showing roads getting slushy. I have went from snow to sleet so many times this morning impossible to count. Now have heavy snow falling.
WinterWxLuvr
First official measurement, 2 3/8" of new snow. Still coming down
aldie 22
I love how the snow is fighting I know we are changing now but it's fun to watch...if we get a big ole sleet storm for awhile then freezing rain...it will be pretty ugly on the roads
Scraff
Still mod snow here (though flakes are smaller). Just measured .75 on the deck. Waiting for the inevitable change back...
Wonderdog
Indeed. Best storm ever so far this winter for me. That is definitely a glass half-full observation. Pity it's a true one. Mostly sleet and some rain now in Gainesville. The end is upon us.
TUweathermanDD
Snow up to around an inch, still falling heavily. Shouldn't change to all rain as early as many anticipated, probably around 2 in Baltimore, should be some pingers and zr around parts of the area. High pressure up north doing some work, down to 31 here.
87storms
we need to get away from these nickel and dime "monitoring the rain/snow line" storms. i'm really craving a good ol' fashioned snow storm from start to finish. i know it can happen around here. Hank Scorpio
With windows on 3 sides of me in this room, the sleet is pretty loud. Wonder if this ends up being a mini version of the 2007 valentines day storm

wxmeddler
Looking at the RAP (which actually did pretty good last night with this morning), it shows Sleet or a Sleet/Rain mix lasting through 1PM at all 3 major airports.
