North Balti Zen
Looks like switchover to snow happening here. The folks in Pasadena/Severna Park are my canary in the coal mine for this.

Ian
You'd almost love me as I'm getting rain and sleet mixed. More rain than sleet at 32.7 degrees.

Swiscaster
Side streets in NW DC now getting covered in white. It turned back to sleet here about 10 minutes ago on the shores of the Anacostia in SE DC. All paved surfaces have remained just wet throughout. I saw hints of white on the boardwalk along the river during a heavier snowburst, but no more.

Scraff
Moderate snow. Roads with a nice white coating. If this could even hold for an hour, I call it a win.

MN Transplant
Nice to see it in action locally with ground obs to verify it. The hydrometeor setting is a bit iffy .. Still learning how to use it all. Weird little mix zones today. The hydrometeor setting is bad. Just for an interesting ground-truth exercise, here is the current shot. Anyone above the line should be snow, and below the line a mix to rain. Observations to the contrary?

Hank Scorpio
Must be more than a half inch now...maybe close to an inch on the deck...snow is coming down nicely...regular sized flakes for those who care Yeah, closing in on an inch here on the deck, probably half an inch in the street. snowfan
The lack of snow since 09/10 has messed with our ability to differentiate between light, moderate and heavy snow. I'd call this light snow...teetering on moderate. Certainly not heavy.

Herb@MAWS
Grass, streets and sidewalks are whitening-up under steady all-snow. Temp down in past 20 mins from 31.0 to 30.8, the low for the day (it was down to 29.4 yesterday evening before clouds moved in and temps started rising to a max of 34.2 overnite and then backed down to 31.7 pre-onset of precip earlier this morning. High temp since 6am today = 32.2)
