wxmanmitch
The air aloft must still be very dry and taking a while to saturate, as the precipitation reaching the ground is nowhere near as heavy as the reflectivities would suggest. 00Z ALB sounding is very dry in mid-levels. That warm layer is temporarily being eroded away due to evaporational cooling. WAA will win out as the night progresses though. All snow, but rather light; probably about 15-20 dBZ intensity even though radar is indicating 30+ dBZ across much of the area.
Logan11
Snow and 32 here now. About a quarter inch coating. moneypitmike
Over to snow now, but like Mitch said--not nearly as heavy as the radar would make you think. Hopefully that'll saturate before it gets totally warm. Off to bed, so I guess I'll never know. Have a good night, Weenies.

ORH_wxman
The WAA is strong, so any snow is not going to last more than an hour or two I wouldn't think from here on out. Meso analysis has the -1C 850 isotherm pretty close to the pike right now.
wxmanmitch
Steady moderate snow now. Everything turning white fast. Too bad it looks like the back edge of the heavier precipitation is just off to my SW. WAA will win over in the midlevels once the precip intensity lessens.
