chrisNJ
I guess the new GFS shows the 850 line hovering over the area a little longer so a front end wintry mess dump still seems likely, but a quick change to a frigid rain comes thereafter. It's so much better to get rain over to snow, but we know that usually isnt the case in this area.

phlwx
SV 2" snowline on the 12z is roughly Gettysburg-MDT-ABE and north. 4+" MPO/AVP/IPT/UNV/AOO, 8" BGM. 12" Rochester, BFD, and Western NY away from Lake Erie.
ptb127
LOL!!! Look what that map does to Schuylkill County where I live... LOL I did see that too... that's not going to happen..

Clown map is somewhat more generous, but there is a reason it's not called the Einstein map. http://raleighwx.americanwx.com/models/gfs/12zgfssnow042.gif
dssbss
So def not a snow event in Eastern Pa excluding poconos
SP
So the question is timing for tomorrow. Do I keep the scotch in the bottle and drive to cabin tonight, or simply enjoy the holiday and head out early morning tomorrow. I'm thinking early morning tomorrow and crack the bottle open BTW nice AFD!
DavisJ1990
So def not a snow event in Eastern Pa excluding poconos Maybe some front end snows (less than a few inches) but more of a rain issue currently then a frozen. Perhaps up in Berks we might get some freezing rain if the lower levels stay cold. Tough forecast for our area and points north. Hoping we stay away from freezing rain =/

Animal
I do beleive that we get a warning for 4-6 of snow, ice going to a cold rain at some point for sussex county. Not sure if my elevation in HL will have any affect on the outcome

LVblizzard
Hurricane Schwartz going with all frozen for Lehigh Valley The RGEM and UKMET are the only models supporting that idea. I think we change over to rain after about 3-4" of snow and maybe an hour or two of freezing rain and sleet.

I gotta work 17 hours tomorrow plowing so I'm trying to get the conditions narrowed down. Because this will be my first storm driving and I'd have some steep grades to take care of, the last thing I need is to slide down it haha

Thunder Road
Seems that while a consensus is being developed, there are still "some" discrepancies among the various models. How accurate is the RGEM in this time frame? It did very well down here with yesterday's event.
