What LOT is calling for on Lake Michigan would be more impressive than what Sandy did

OCCASIONAL HURRICANE FORCE GUSTS ARE POSSIBLE ON SOUTHERN LAKE MICHIGAN LATE THURSDAY NIGHT INTO THE PREDAWN HOURS OF FRIDAY.

THURSDAY NIGHT NORTHWEST STORM FORCE WINDS TO 50 KT INCREASING TO 60 KT EARLY. SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS IN THE EVENING. SNOW THROUGH THE NIGHT. WAVES BUILDING TO 25 TO 30 FT OCCASIONALLY TO 40 FT.

ya ok ( would be more impressive then sandy. talk to the people in the northeast beg to differ )

I didn't even realize it was snowing yet, but it certainly is. I was going to put out the gauge to catch the initial rain, but apparently there won't be any.

Event underway here as well. Can hear the pitter patter of rain hitting the eastern windows.

You can see some convective looking precip blowing up over Missouri now. Should move north into Iowa and really kick things off later this evening...
