CoastalWx
I was trying to get Scooter some snow I'm good. Hoping for D-1" which is what I have had in mind for a while. GFS is disjointed in SNE.
MaineJayhawk
Looks like a mid-day fractional for my 'hood. Better than a stick in the eye.

I'm starting to feel I can pull off a fluffy 1-2" if that vort can move through S NH as modeled now.

Clinch Leatherwood
pull up model soundings for your area and look for when the column becomes saturated Nonsense, we don't need soundings. It gonna snow. I'm just hoping to see a few flakes fly before the rain. At least up in New Hampshire I may see some snow.
moneypitmike
Perhaps 1.5 or so for here. I'll take.
CoastalWx
The GFS is rather lousy. It has two areas of lift, one near the Cape with better low level forcing, and then up towards CNE/NNE with the mid level stuff. Verbatim it's probably D-1"..maybe 2 in a narrow area. We'll see what the euro has.

OKpowdah
6z GFS modeled 700mb Q vectors ... there is decent convergence over SNE and CNE Christmas Eve night
CoastalWx
Well I hope you see snow for the little one, I really do Scott. How about down here? It looks warm to me? You may start out as snow, but prob flip to rain..especially if intensity is not there. Even up here, I'm not so sure..especially if we can't get into good echoes. Allsnow
Euro looks a lot like gfs. It separates the vort. Just need to see how the band sets up.
Clinch Leatherwood
Lol.....12/25 morning and the euro has nary a flake in sne.. I think this one is total toast. Sprinkles/flurries is the inevitable outcome.
weathafella
I do think based on early returns that the 12/27 event will be much better on today's euro run.
Logan11
I had a white Dec. 23rd with the inch of LES powder, until this last hour when the sun came out and obliterated it, except in the shade. Kinda sad on this date that you can't hold any snow, but no frost in the ground. So if we get an inch Xmas morning it may not last the day out. I do think based on early returns that the 12/27 event will be much better on today's euro run.
