Baroclinic Zone
it's probably too wound up. i like the chances for snow from cnj to bos Just look what it does with the confluent flow to the N. Looks like it separates it into 2 pieces, thus allowing for the system to amplify more.
Baroclinic Zone
12z GFS mean has a weak SLP traversing pretty far S of New Eng. Looks like it shoots off the southern tip of the Delmarva.

Clinch Leatherwood
I think the power of the Mush outweighs what the GGEM/UK show. I think the Euro is going to be flat.
OKpowdah
lol the Canadian is literally three times more amplified with that shortwave trough at hr72 than the GFS

In a system that has a relatively simple evolution such as this event on X-mas I tend to not like going against the GFS inside 100 hours even when the other models all say differently which right now including last night's 00z Euro they are. The other issue in the back of my mind though is that the GFS/NAM both seem to suck at times on SW flow type events.

Its simpler than that...I don't get significant snow events anymore, so this will be surpressed, and the other amped. Damage In Tolland
Congrats to all of us and Merry Christmas. Love ,Joe L And while it won't be terribly cold across parts of Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, southern New York and southern New England, it may well be cold enough to support snow. Right now I would think most areas that get snow would fall in the 1- to 3-inch range, but some lucky souls near the track of the feature that are all snow may get into the upper end of the 3- to 6-inch range before this feature darts out to see Christmas afternoon.
