eduggs
I think we should consider banning eduggs from this subforum. Clearly he has an issue with/continues to troll red taggers here. It's a curious pattern of behavior from a disgruntled weather weenie. Seriously, attacking individual posters is a huge annoyance for everyone. Posts singling out individuals should be deleted. This is low. Please try to debate the substance of my posts instead of me personally.

eduggs
Both the Euro and GFS appeared to show the same general idea for the Xmas storm as their previous runs. A Euro/GFS/GGEM compromise would work out well for us. That's a good place to be 5 days out.

This is low. Please try to debate the substance of my posts instead of me personally. Debating isn't the problem. It's just the aggressive way you reply that tends to get some people riled up. I like the idea of counterarguements but there's a more professional way of saying you don't agree with something rather than attacking the poster. You wouldn't walk into a met office and call out all the certified mets saying they're completely incorrect when they have just as good evidence if not better than yours. Don't take offense to that but that's the way it is in our field.

Clinch Leatherwood
The euro doesn't show much at all for Xmas does it? Looks like a storm falling apart to me? Next one is still a torch on the Euro.
powderfreak
This is the white Xmas thread not the Apps Runner on 27 FYP Like the last storm it could go anywhere from Bermuda to Buffalo....probably not wise to lock in a "snow bomb" at this lead time. Just setting people up for dissapointment and blowing off steam. Call it a cutter and then if it snows you'll be surprised and happy.
ORH_wxman
The euro doesn't show much at all for Xmas does it? Looks like a storm falling apart to me? Next one is still a torch on the Euro. It has a band moving into western SNE predawn but it falls apart pretty quick...probably a coatin to an inch of snow from east to west...though southern areas are probably too warm for any snow. Its not that cold on the Euro. Regardless...5 days out on what amounts to a glorified clipper (or really weak SWFE if you want to be technical)...I don't think people should expect much of anything at this point...if it start ramping up the trends in the next 36-48 hours, then I think expectations can be upped to an inch or two...but we are far from that point still. It's Always Sunny
If the vort max for xmas day was a bit further south than it is now we'd have more hope for something but yeah Euro is weak sauce right now for my area of interest.

Damage In Tolland
Right now if you plan on 1-3 starting late Xmas eve into early morning., I think that would be a good place to start. We can ramp up if we have to over the weekend. GGEM/ Gefs blend should work

Maybe we end up with something more significant, but right now, that would not be supported by much.

People piled on... saying I was overanalyzing, that I had no clue, that I was a weenie, that it didn't matter. Red tag or not, people shouldn't pull that **** and make it personal. I understand where the met was coming from. I still believe I was correct. And nobody bothered to argue the original point. Take a look at how some of the other posters handled this situation. Maybe they are the ones that need a talking to. Maybe they wouldn't call me out if they knew me personally.
