Ginx snewx
I went thru Ice storm 98 here, And we had 1.5"-2.00" ice accretion and it was round looking on most branches and wires, That just looks weird to me Mixed with little sleet balls frozen at impact at 22 degrees maybe. I haveno clue, like I said the pics from Gardner are round looking.

JJBASHB
I don't see how they could have 1" ice. I just drove to work through Westminster and there is no way they got an inch of ice. Maybe a weenie total on a flat surface, that faces northeast, combined with the snow. It was 33 when I left my house, disaster narrowly averted. The trees were starting to shed ice in Fitchburg. I didn't see any tree damage. There were a few spots where I had to maneuver around branches and trees that were sagging into the road. It was impressive this morning around five when it started raining. The rain was cracking when it hit the cold metal roof and froze.

ma blizzard
as precip beings to pick up again, meso stations imby (just E of ORH) are hovering between 32 and 32.5 .. this was really close to being a significant ice storm. Still was really cool to see the CAD hold strong over 24+ hrs. As well as the other mesoscale features, ie.)very weak low passing south of LI to help enhance low dp / temp feed from SW maine and NH + veering winds more northerly, noticible temp drop between 11 pm and 1 am last night as coastal front advanced S/E

Mr Torchey
Lol, just passing on what they report, pic is interesting though. I saw precip was. .53 there , ice is 8.13 % times volume of a liquid so max should be about 5/8 thick. Straight up fraud, send him to winter hell on the beach in SW CT with the blooming Geraniums.
