ORH_wxman
This is probably the most efficient type of qpf to accrete here...this heavy freezing drizzle/mist type stuff....just sheet drizzle at these temps. Not much water going to waste on that. Everything is a skating rink. We only had a very small coating of snow here. A tinge of white on the ground, but we didn't get as much snow as Ray's area got. I was talking to Scott earlier saying this was one of the few setups where you would be freezing rain for a while.

MarkO
Yup, in Lowell. We probably got about 3/4" although it's probably compacted a bit as it's now sleeting out there. Probably 90% sleet, but feels a little wet. Sucked leaving Thornton today as the local point and click forecast 3-7". Temp up 0.5 deg.

Nah, if anything that would slow the temp drop from the latent heat given off when rain freezes to objects. This is pure cold air drainage, baby. ORH_wxman
Temp has risen rapidly here, up 1F in the past 30 minutes...up to 27.1F. Wonder if that increased drainage from NE MA will begin to work in here at some point.
It's Always Sunny
any chances the monday night/tuesday low suprizes us with wintry precip? Prob not. H85 temps are too warm. I'd say sleet at worst and only for a short time but that's being generous in my opinion. Depends on where you are in NH also.
