CoastalWx
Meh... least we still have months ahead of us Oh it's just a joke. We'll start to at least turn things around later this week. Hopefully we can try to grab something right after Christmas. Seems SWFE-ish. I'll tell you though, a 2-4" deal would be so welcomed.
CoastalWx
Ray drove through the CF at 128 in Woburn on his way to meet his man. He said he has about 1-1.5" at home. He didn't measure though.
CoastalWx
Some sort of weenie LLJ and OE precip moving NW into Ray's area. Probably why he has that snow.
dendrite
Lots of wrecks for little snow on the highways in S NH...saw 3 or 4...I lost count. The trucks weren't salting though so the lanes where traffic was higher the snow was partially melting and refreezing. Disaster. Anyways, I just got home and snow growth is getting a lot better. I haven't measured, but it appears to be a little under 1". A nice, cold snow at 21F.

Typhoon Tip
Fwiw...here's the 18z hi-res NAM valid 9pm - look at the low level cold hanging on in NW CT I'm going to be interested in monitoring to see if that above 32 contour verifies in that position at 9pm - I have my doubts with a polar high backing this air mass. It's not like it's merely cold and we're eroding - seems to me unilaterally the runs are too liberal with warming things up, but we'll see -
Tropopause_Fold
It hasnt moved all day, not even a degree. Whats keeping it down? That HP off to the NE. There's also some slight kinking to the pressure fields now showing up S of LI so that helps your area fight back the low level warming that will ultimately come in from the SW. dendrite
Nice high ratio stuff before we switch to cement Well ratios sucked most of the day here. It was a cold snow, but there was crappy growth. It looked like sugar blowing around on the highway.

It's too warm.
