Pilotwx
Midland Road in Southern Pines, NC 1-25-2000 Completely missed me up here in the Foothills awful! I can remember reports of heavy snow in W-S, GSO, RAH, and it was sunny here. The picture is unbelievable.

superjames1992
Okay, well here's a few... Here is one from the early portion of the 1/17/13 storm which eventually dropped 3.5". I took this one with less than an inch on the ground and pretty heavy snow. Shortly thereafter, the power went out... Here is a picture from the Christmas/Boxing Day Storm of 2010 as things wound down the morning thereafter. I got 6" from this one, and as you can see, the snow was wet. And here is a picture from the day after the January 30th, 2010 storm that dropped 7.5" of very powdery snow. As you can see, we had almost no snow stick to the branches. It's definitely a less picturesque snow, but it stuck around for quite awhile. And, finally, a shot the morning afterwards from the March 1st, 2009 storm. I got 6" of wet snow from that and, as beautiful as it was the day afterwards, it melted swiftly in the March sun. I don't seem to have any pictures up on Photobucket from the December 19th, 2009 storm (5.5").
