After discovering the "VTEC" archive of American issued weather alerts... I decided to create one for the regional municipality(Ontario version of an "urbanized" county) in which I live.

Watch/warning breakdown(approximation). Special weather statements, humidex advisories, and smog advisories excluded.

Winter Storm Warning: 10

Snow Squall Warning: 16

Snowfall Warning: 13

Freezing Rain Warning: 25

Wind Chill Warning: 5

Flash Freeze Warning: 2

Frost Warning: 12

Blowing Snow Warning: 3

Wind Warning: 19

Rainfall Warning: 6

Weather Warning: 1

Severe Thunderstorm Watch: 120

Severe Thunderstorm Warning: 81

Tornado Watch: 5

Tornado Warning: 7

Total number of advisories: 345

Snow squall warning is the equivalent of a lake effect snow warning.

Snowfall warning is the equivalent of a heavy snow warning 6"+.

Rainfall warning is the equivalent of a heavy rain warning 1.96"+.

Freezing rain warning is the equivalent of an ice storm warning/freezing rain advisory.

Weather warning is for any other generic weather alert that Environment Canada see's fit. This warning was for high heat and humidity. It varies by Environment Canada office.

Wind Warning is the equivalent of a high wind warning.

Environment Canada Toronto began issuing blizzard warnings in 2011.

Greatest Number of tornado warnings in one day: 2 on August 19 2005.

F0 tornado July, 4 2001 North Dumfries Township.

F2 tornado May 23, 2004 Wellesley Township.

F0 tornado May 24, 2004 City of Waterloo.

F2 tornado August 19 2005 Woolwich Township. Mile wide long track violent tornado.

F1 tornado April 25, 2009 Woolwich Township.

F1 tornado August 24, 2011 City of Cambridge/North Dumfries Township.

Strongest Tornado: F3 tornado April 17, 1967. St. Jacobs, Woolwich Township.

Communities with known tornado sirens: Elmira, St. Jacobs, Breslau. All in Woolwich Township.
