Stumbling into a wintry pattern, weenies confused; still shaken from last winter

maybe all these little events will add up to a couple of inches here in a couple of weeks .........should be bare ground again by morning here - saturday maybe another coating - maybe

Maybe just maybe - but the beat goes on in 12/13 another disorganized mess passing through today - no surprise - and now many areas will have precip type issues in addition to lack of precip - still feels like 11/12..................http://www.wunderground.com/radar/radblast.asp?zoommode=pan&prevzoom=zoom&num=6&frame=0&delay=15&scale=1.000&noclutter=0&ID=DIX&type=N0R&showstorms=0&lat=0&lon=0&label=you&map.x=400&map.y=240&scale=1.000&centerx=400&centery=240&showlabels=1&rainsnow=0&lightning=0&lerror=20&num_stns_min=2&num_stns_max=9999&avg_off=9999&smooth=0

Good grief, there are some real weenies in the OBS/Disco thread who would have been great contenders for Weenie of the Year.

thats why I am staying here in the banter thread

radar filling in as of 10 am to the southwest and swinging this way the question now is how far inland in the NYC metro the rain/snow/mix line gets - looks like precip issues for parts of middlesex/union/essex/hudson/eastern passaic/ eastern bergen and points east where the longer the rain/mix the less accumulation kind of similar to what happened on the 27th

If I remember last winter correctly, we had no snow at all from November to mid/late January. At least this winter we have had plenty (5?) snowfalls, all with decent (at least where I am) amounts. And there's storms to track that aren't in the 10+ day range. And we had a pattern change that actually happened, as opposed to the pattern change that never came last year. This winter is very different.

keywords being at least where you are - your weather is not representative of most of NYC Metro

Yes, in my area western Nassau , seen snow 3 times so far. With cold air on the way, it may not be a great winter, at least we will have chances.

I lost weenie of the year again lol.

I would have voted for you - also what do you think of Henry's C - 3 inch forecast now - you said was going to be wrong ? sitting here with 1 inch and drizzle............

this looks like the storm is going to be too far east for most of us the rest of the way

This has been a pretty good start to the season. Anyone west of the river complaining needs to have their head examined..

west of the hudson starting above the NJ border - and north and west of 78/80 in NJ has done ok but the majority of NYC metro still is trying to get a storm that delivers greater amounts then the one in early november........

Up here in the interior we average more for a reason. You can't compare the 2.
