Damage In Tolland
Eh, I thought the article was pretty fair. With snowmaking the way it is now I think the numbers are awfully gloomy in that study. But we've seen warm winters shutter ski areas before. While temperatures have warmed there's been no discernible trend in actual seasonal snowfall. So the snowfall depth fetish people may be sad down the road the rest of us should be ok While i don't disagree the planet overall is warmer than it was..i strongly disgaree with some of these liberals who are advocating that global warming is something only occurring over the last 30 yrs, and that it's not cyclical. We all know the Earth goes thru decades, even centuries of warming and then it goes thru cooling cycles as well. What about the argument that more storms/clouds, rain, snow caused by the recent warming will ultimately cause global temps to cool? the media is so agenda driven and all you hear is the BS about warming and never the other side of the spectrum which is equally important. You have those idiots in that article(not you or Cox) telling ski resort owners in all of New England that the vast majority of them will be shut down and out of business over the enxt 30-50 yrs. That is complete and utter BS and should never have been printed

mob1
Merry Christmas to you and yours in Western NY in the Great lakes!! Dude, stop being so territorial.. This thread is about New England weather not New England people. The only reason so many of us "out of Towner's" hang out here is because it's the most active region with a perfect balance of weenies and respectable Mets. So whether you're a realist, pessimist, optimist or anarchist you'll get your fix here.
ROOSTA
Getting to the point of obsurdity on this board. Not even readable and interest is waining. Could see it coming years ago, carry on boys. I just wish it would stop. Countless posters turned-off and out. Comments more akin to an Accuweather board...oh wait... it has become an Accuweather board. So long as they add substance and can partake in the wx discussion. When I post something and I get attacked nastily for not knowing anything about global warming, especially by someone outside of the region..you'd better believe I'll speak my peace. he had no reason, right, or call to post that . I struck a nerve I guess and he didn't like it, so he attacked. At any rate..98% of the posters that come in here from other regions are great, add substance, and are welcome with open arms..There's a few that don't,,and everyone knows who they are.
