Euro ensembles are just a total snow-gasm for SNE...it sort of has all 3 waves and all of them are cold enough for snow. I'm still skeptical on the first two waves being seperate....but it definitely hints at that.

I would definitely be skeptical on the first two waves being separate, and even all that amplified ... I think taking the mean of the ensembles when there are three pieces of energy to play around with yields an even serving of each, when in reality each member emphasizes different ones.

I'll keep on saying it: I think the first wave (or first two pieces of energy) is flat and produces only some light snow showers while all the focus shifts to the second wave

Does the QPF compare to the 2-2.5" that 00z had?

Heh...I probably shouldn't have posted QPF this morning, but it was just for weenie fun. The first 2 s/w's produce a lot less for us this run...0.50" line is around CON whereas it was 1.00" at 00z. I wouldn't worry about it too much yet. As long as we can cover the grass by Tuesday and then score a decent hit from the big dog I'll be content.

Nah.... I think you'll find that the first wave is historically powerful, and the 2nd one alters the orbit of the Earth around the sun....

Since I'm getting a few requests...part 1 (48hr ending at 150hr)

0.10" FVE

0.25" GNR-EPO

0.50" DDH-LCI-PWM

0.75" PSM-OWD-FMH

That again doesn't include storm 2 which is so far out there it isn't even worth posting.

Was not so much about the qpf, Which i don't care right now, Was just trying to figure out without seeing the ensembles for myself how far north the 1st 2 waves made it seeing i heard nothing further then SNE which is vague, Thanks, Brian

I'll take option #2...

Incidentally, it reminds me of a bet that was made between two of my friends (roommates at the time) ... we were living in Brighton near Comm. Ave. right along the Green D line... (yep, that slow, POS of a train that you can outrun).

One day, after a few pops, my friend Chris and I were wrestling on the couch (this was ~ 8 years ago, we did lots of dumb sh&t) and we both fell on our living room coffee table, breaking the glass and cracking the wood frame.

Neither of us was hurt, though after we both got up, Chris says to my friend Evan, "I owe you $20" ... apparently, they had placed a bet - one thought that I would break the coffee table, the other figured I'd get hit by the train... the bet would get paid out on whichever event came first.

This bet, of course, was news to me... and the thought of me getting hit by a train was rather insulting... I can be clumsy as hell - sure - but that's pushing it, right?

As fate would have it, a few months later, as I was walking along the Comm. Ave. median during a snowstorm, listening to some tunes on my new iPod, when I heard a loud horn, turned around, and watched a BC-bound trolley pass inches from my left shoulder...

/story, back to tracking 3 dumbbells and measurable snow for days and days...

Sounds romantic - better not tell Kevina, or there's likely to precipitate a crime of passion.

Too late... man is back and he won't be denied.

You may have blue-balled him with your ageostrophic damaging icestorm talk... he scuttled away, licked his wounds, and is back stronger than ever... this tent will last long past 4 hours... and likely days and days.

And yeah, it'll be measurable.
