ORH_wxman
Man, the GFS loves to pump of the -EPO ridge post-truncation. I feel like it does that a lot. Is that something the ECM 11-15 day ensembles have honked at? I'm guessing no. They've been showing the Aleutian ridge building back poleward...but not the extreme type of solutions the OP GFS likes to do.

Clinch Leatherwood
It blows that we have the best incoming pattern in 13 months and we're talking about nonsense but I'll add my 2 cents. I'd like to see the moderators moderate with only a slight lean towards "knowing" the poster. IE, if someone was to sign up new and make a series of post that would get them 5ppd for a few days, the same should carry through to most of us within reason. One issue I see with the site is there is no clean penalty system so in that sense I agree with CT Blizz. What constitutes flaming, what constitutes abuse, what constitutes weenie posting? The randomness of enforcement and penalty actions is problematic and kind of unfair particularly to the people that donate to the site to keep it alive. Ultimately I think the blogging aspect may be an answer to some of this. if individual members and pros have the ability to spell out their thoughts in a controlled fashion and likewise control the comments themselves on those individual blogs we may see some of this ease back a bit. I don't know what the answer is, but I do know the feeling from other regions that we get a break up here and don't moderate/play by the site rules is tangible and at times it is really what goes on. Yet at other times when they try to moderate they get crapped on for doing it. We may not cash in on any of these threats but we're going to have several of them between now and the NYE. Let's enjoy it and try to get back on track.

ctsnowstorm628
12z Euro looks decent from northern CT northward, actually. Kind of unorganized though. If we can amplify that trough the second threat could be significant.

ctsnowstorm628
With respect to CNE/NNE on the first storm, looks like 0.50-0.75" for most of VT/NH from Sunday evening through Tuesday morning (h126-156) with temps 20-25F. Not organized well, though so those numbers may be a bit deceiving.
