ChrisM
I average 28 inches of snow per year. Hardly a snowy place, but if I get 128 inches awesome, and if I get zero that's fine too. so because you average less than 30" of snow nowhere in CT gets appreciable snow? I don't agree. Clinch Leatherwood
There will be plenty of snow this year. The squirrels around here have been epically lazy. They aren't even fighting over positioning on the feeders I think they're too hot with their fur. I saw a few squirrels today that were clearly from more southern climates one had a shaved chest and a gold chain.

Had a squirrel that lived outside the frat house in college, no lie, squirrel loved Busch light. If we go another week or two with the change staying a week or two away I'm going to end up like that squirrel. I'm tired of looking at Christmas lights when it's 50-60 degrees ago and feels like Virginia.

CoastalWx
This storm will likely be a pike north deal, unless blocking comes in.
Bostonseminole
maybe even further north.. north of 495 into NH,

ericnh
looks decent fro me here in southern nh alothough it looks like the freezing line is hovering right over southern nh northern mass! could an ares in southern nh gets the front to set uo for heavy bands of snow. i know its still early but its fun to watch! gives lots of moisture to all of new england! SouthCoastMA
Good for the ski areas. I think SNE has a better shot with the followup system. Blocking looks more established by then

If the first storm could go south, it would be a little better even for the second low.

We need these systems south to keep whatever marginally cold air available in place. At least we have storms to track now. not boring

CoastalWx
If you guys loop the 500mb charts on the 00z GFS tonight, you'll see why the west based -NAO block is great for storms.
