michsnowfreak
OT but they just had a great winter storm out in the upper midwest and there is only three pages in that thread...being snow starved i thought i might find some good snow porn from far away...not much to be had there must be more weenies out that way...i guess i should be thankful that this board is so interesting and has so many posters from so many different parts of ne. The storm page thread was actually 28 pages in the Lakes/OV forum, Im assuming you looked at the one in the Central forum? This was a primarily MN and WI storm (MN harder hit by far), and we do not have a lot of MN posters. The midwests heavy contingent of posters reside in WI, IL, MI, OH, IN. As jealous as we all are, I cant see how finally laying down snowcover in the upper midwest is a bad thing.

Ginx snewx
Its been 22 months since I have had a decent snowstorm. As you know that will make the next one all the more sweet. During 10/11 I constantly reminded my self to take it all in, historic winters and storms are truly special. I am very confidant your streak is broken and not as far away as you think. CoastalWx
6"+....I'd say a 50/50 shot by the end of the year...def. during January. I think we have that shot. It is possible we'll have to watch Logan11 and NNE get there's next week, but we'll have a few chances. I can't elaborate too much on the phone, but from what I saw....it looked possible....and that's not some fairytale wishful thinking.

ORH_wxman
I was out for 2 days and come back to weenies melting down? Am I missing something, because the pattern looks pretty much as advertised at the end of last week. Our potential mini-torch for Dec 13-15 period is still there. I guess people are freaking out now because its closer on the models. It still looks like we have multiple SWFE shots in the Dec 17-25 time frame, and perhaps beyond.
