I'll be short term forecaster on days tomorrow through Wed. Sounds...interesting, though if next weekend a little outside my forecast period. The one thing that scares me is ice rather than snow with marginal airmass, especially across interior valleys like overnight tonight.

Missed posting on the other thread before it was closed down. CONGRATS papa!! Good lookin' boy you have there. Best wishes to you and your family.

Thanks for the kind wishes Eleanor! A lot of work to be sure, but we love him. He already has a snow suit so I hope to use it soon, lol.

I totally missed this! Congrats man! This will be one of the greatest events in your life. Enjoy! Just make sure you put family first and everything will fall into place.

Just shows you how closely I read everything here.

All this talk of jumping in tubs with hair dryers and next weekend could potentially produce a snow event for much of New England. Definitely looks conducive at H5 with strong blocking across Greenland, nice confluence in sern Canada w/ 1028mb sfc high pressure building southward. Good cold source behind the wave.

I'm sure....

56/55 - Finally some decent rains...

So far today .84.

Since Friday I've recorded .09, .44, and .15 respectively.

I sent a note on to Taunton suggesting they look into the automated rain gauge at the Westerly Airport. For some time, the reports have been (at times) far less than what other local automated stations and nearby home stations have been reporting - while the automated and home stations are all in sync. Today since midnight for example... Pawcatuck, myself,

Quonochontaug and Charlestown are all less than .10 apart while the airport (right in the middle of the aforementioned stations) is about .30 less.

I can deal with the lack of cold, no ice on the ponds, and the fact that Dallas has more snow than I do so far. Wasn't expecting a cold December.

But this endless misery, 39/39, quarter mile vis fog is truly meltdown worthy. Seattle and London bastard child weather regime. Give me cold and dry over this garbage, when I finally see the sun again my pale a$$ is going to be squinting like I've been in the hole for months.

there must be more weenies out that way...i guess i should be thankful that this board is so interesting and has so many posters from so many different parts of ne.
