Thunder Road
For a Met final project, where can I find the actual numbers for snowfall totals at PHL since 2001? (Franklin Institute only goes up to 2000) I know the Mount Holly page has a graph, but not the actual numbers. I know it's gotta be right under my nose somewhere.... I think someone already posted an easy way to find it, but I want people to know that there's a TON of free data on NCDC's website now, way more than there ever used to be. Thunder Road
http://www.fi.edu/we...data/index.html That says only 12.5" fell on 12/19-20/09. Wasn't KPHL's total like 23"?
fsu_wxgirl
Looks like that site uses records from the Franklin Institute. If you want the official snowfall you want to use Philadelphia International Airport. I would recommend using the NCDC site as Ray suggested. Here are the links that I came across. 2004 and later: http://cdo.ncdc.noaa.gov/ulcd/ULCD 2005 or after: http://cdo.ncdc.noaa.gov/qclcd/QCLCD?prior=N
phlwx
Ryan, I gave you the wrong link this am. Try climate.phillyweather.net and scroll down. It's separated by yr and there is a master spreadsheet underneath the table.

Where did you actually get the numbers from? Is this for KPHL? (Looking at the numbers and using my memory I'm almost positive it is, but I just need to check.) phlwx
It is a combo of Franklin Institute's record keeping through the mid 90s and NWS thereafter through cf6 data. It was originally kept by someone who worked at a local TV station and then was generously emailed to me. I've kept it updated daily since I got it in 2006. Edit...it is KPHL. Sure, I could manually add all the months up, but the professor doesn't want that. She wants a data file already made, which is why it's just easier on me to use Tom's link. They do have an annual summary that is free also. Sorry about that Franklin Institute link, I didn't realize they started using their snowfall totals recently.
