What is the timeframe for the arrival of snow for Hampton Roads?

We will start seeing snow between 1-3pm and last until 10pm-midnight timeframe. A quick mover but enough to cause problems on the highways for the afternoon/evening commute.

Sticking with my first guess no reasoning to change:

2-4" peninsula w/1/4" sleet

1-3" southside w/ 1/2" sleet

1" NE NC w/mix of sleet/ frz rain /rain

Thanks! Maybe we can leave work early today to avoid the mess! :)

Don't blink if you want to see snow this afternoon/evening. It has changed over already in Raleigh so the warming at upper levels is way ahead of what any model had. Looks like there will just be a very quick shot of snow before sleet/ice, at least for southside HR.

I don't necessarily agree. They expected a quick change over in raleigh. Looking at the latest short term modeling, South side looks safe i would think away from the border

It definitely is warmer or moisture is shallower because sleet is mixing in just 10 or so miles from here. They were supposed to stay all snow until the evening
