Martin
Still looking good. 6z NAM has large 2-5inches across much of NC and SE VA. GFS has 2-4in in eastern NC and VA. Canadian not too bad either. NWS also mentions accumulations "less than half an inch" for tonight. Fun times ahead

VBsurf
Allan Huffman (Raleighwx) out with his new forecast... This zone will likely be mostly snow and includes much of Virginia and the northern sections of NC. A general 1-3 inches is likely in this zone and there is the potential for a mix with or change to sleet in southern sections of this zone. This zone include Richmond and Norfolk. There is some potential Norfolk could end up doing well as we see the area of low pressure potentially reform off the NC coast.
MidlothianWX
Predictions for RIC metro... Tonight: 0-1", more toward the N suburbs Friday: 1-3", more toward Petersburg and S/SE

VABILLUPS1
Throwing in the towel on tomorrow's event. The NAM is getting weaker and the GFS has all but cancelled. Enjoy the bay effect coming through now at ORF and VB, probably won't see much more than this tomorrow.
SoCoWx
You all really are just a bit pessimistic, huh? I guess the vast amounts of weather forecasting sites, including the NWS haven't gotten the memo. For this area, anyway, the forecast remains the same. Snow starting in the afternoon and into the evening.
SeVa
GFS and NAM seem to be trending drier as we get closer. The trend does not seem to be our friend here
SoCoWx
GFS and NAM seem to be trending drier as we get closer. The trend does not seem to be our friend here Last I heard the NAM still does good for HR. The GFS has been the driest all along, anyway.
JMU2004
the Friday storm is really all about precip fields....not going to be a big deal outside of SWVA, but someone will see 2-3 inches Central/SE VA
