This thing certainly beefed up in the qpf department since I last looked late Thursday. The NAM and GFS now have me at .5" and .4" respectively now. This is all from the initial disturbance coming out of the Midwest I assume. The people over in NE are excited about the coastal redevelopment, but I think that's a non factor here.

Ok so I did the math. I recorded a total of 45.2" for the entire Winter 11/12. Thus far, thru this morning's measurement at 0730, I have totaled 38.0" for winter 12/13, w/ 34.4" since 12/21. Not too bad for this vicinity. Lgt/Mod SN continues.

Of note, as we all recall, most of last winter's snow fell in the first two weeks of January, which was basically our entire winter. Lets hope that scenario doesn't repeat.

Judging from radar, BGM area appears to be jackpotting. Evens out accumulation for the CNY/WNY area this week as BGM was more affected by dryslot in the 12/26 storm.

Edit: for the SU fans out there, the Pinstripe Bowl vs. the Hillbillies could be a snowy game if NYC can stay cold enough this afternoon. Kickoff is around 3:15 or so.

Pretty cool to see how the N. American snow pack has expanded over the last couple weeks. Noticeable increase in depths over southern Ontario and Quebec, upper midwest, and finally our snow in the northeast during the last 5 days.
