Definitly don't see how thats possible as they are getting bombed in the southern tier especially Allegany county. Maybe the dry slot will reach Catt and Alleganycounties later while we stay in snow?

About five years ago I was hanging out outside Penn Station in NYC and he was doing live shots for the Thanksgiving travel situation... I just stayed out of their way and watched as I waited for my train up to ALB. It wasn't exactly that exciting LOL , but a novelty.

Mike Seidel is at the airport!! I want to go see him! haha

I think this is a good call.

I'm now sitting at the terminal at BUF waiting to board my flight back to BOS. What started as a 6:42 departure is now a 9:00 departure...but the plane is en route from Ft. Lauderdale, so we'll see. I think it's going to be coming down pretty hard at 9PM so hopefully we can actually get off the ground.

Sitting at an airport FTL. I'm no longer excited about this storm ha.

I almost never fly such short hops. I like the open highway. :) You may be there a long time...

Maybe you can avoid ZR.. Sleet isn't so bad on top of a good dump of snow. This is one of those deals where you probably get a lot of snow first so the eventual sleet may not deprive you of much in total accumulations.

HJre's hoping we stay all snow here in Liberty NY, 2 inches new snow on ground, 23 degrees. Plz no ZR or sleet oe a dry slot.

I lease my car, and I make a ton of trips from Boston up to the mountains of VT/NH for skiing, hiking, etc. Didn't want to put 1k miles on in one shot!

If it's snowing to beat the band at 9:00 they'll probably just cancel the flight at this point. Fortunately my Dad is willing to drive through the storm to come pick me up! Hopefully those heavy bands down in the Southern Tier take their time getting up here. It's actually not snowing that hard at the moment.

Seeing the stuff organizing off Erie ("reverse LES") leads me to believe that some area between ROC and IAG are going to push 2'....once you obtain a lake induced convergence zone over L. Ontario (originating in a favorable concave genesis point near the mouth of the St. Lawrence River), along with the synoptic scale lift and great moisture profiles, I wouldn't be surprised to see some 4-5"/hr. stuff along the souther L. Ontario shoreline.

Maybe Orleans County. :) Nice little rural county out there I "very ocasionally" get to for wills and other records. Flat as a pancake terran-wise.
