Will you probably missed it but I asked before, why does ORH F6 for the 6th show a low of 27 when the hourly showed 24?

I let them know about it. There was an error with the ASOS in the way it records the max/min. It should be corrected in the next update I'd think.

That 12/15 storm could definitely be a cutter too...but if the NAO block builds like the Euro shows, it helps keep it underneath us. The whole North Atlantic to the northeast of the storm is retrograding as it approaches. If we don't have that...then we're probably looking at a warmer system....we are trying to sneak this one under the radar before the PAC can reshuffle.

I know you said you didn't remember but one of my top stratospheric analogs for this winter post-1979 was 1992-93 and 1998-99. I find it a little interesting how the ECMWF took on a 92 look to some degree.

One of the most underrated winters....def. top 4 fav for me, personally.

See why you mentioned triple phaser potential this season.
