Damage In Tolland
You wait. Weenies crying for their mamas and people will be telling stories to their kids about the '95-'96s, '04-'05s, '10-'11s etc. Just part of the cycle. In the meantime, while I still want to see this trend continue because part of me is unsure of a couple of things.....confidence is growing on some wintry chances past mid month. Do we have to wait till the 15th?
Mr Torchey
Solid shot of damn cold air early next week on Euro..after the messy mix Sunday night/Monday What time does the snow and sleet start on Sunday, Euro had zero frozen precip, just saw the GFS had 5 different cutters on the run. How much snow and ice do you think sne might see?
CoastalWx
Do we have to wait till the 15th? Well I'll say this. I think that is a safe bet right now. However, there is a slight chance of something near the 14th or 15th, but I'd lean on the warmer side for now. Early next week still could be a little ice to start, but that will go west. Mr Torchey
28/16 hopefully the KFALLS is correct about some winter like precip later this weekend. OKX has a major torch with temps in the low to mid 50s for highs and lows in the 40s, in fact after tonight (potentially) we do not get back to freezing until next Tuesday morning. Feels great out here now though!

There's a decent cold push later this weekend. I wouldn't be surprised if MPM up to Dendrite manages a "decent" period of freezing drizzle / light freezing rain as the warm front moves north. The high kind of slips ESE for a short time so there's some weak CAD in there.

Clinch Leatherwood
Need to start seeing some solidly positive signs on the models in the next 3-4 days or the balance of December is going to be a push. Last nights euro jmho was not encouraging but we are still a bit away from the change point anyway. I would much rather have December snow. Always my favorite. Xmas, plus low sun angle. Snow in march is like snow in Florida

ORH_wxman
The next period of weenie suicides will be around Dec 14-15....the GOA ridge retrogrades as the NAO starts to build and we look like we will see a brief 1-2 day respite from the cold air behind the cutter. The pattern looks pretty sweet after that though. Hopefully its the type where we get a couple of events in the week leading up to Christmas. Mr Torchey
This muted torch has delivered some solid departures so far especially considering the cold start on Dec 1st. bos +4 bdl +3.7 pvd +5.2 orh +6.
CoastalWx
I know Will mentioned this yesterday, but another good sign is the rebuilding of the Aleutian ridge too. So, if we lose the -NAO later in the month.....the key is to have a strong ridge near the Aleutians.
