NJwinter23
Euro has a better push of colder air ahead of next week's low. Still looks warm, but maybe more frozen to start. The only thing this lovely colder trend at the onset on sunday promises me is that i will be miserably wetter and colder while attending the giants/saints game ..ticket was purchased yesterday morning, so fully expect the trend to continue. Tropopause_Fold
Probably when he would throw stuff at the DIFAX charts when the 3-6" of snow squalls on the back end didn't verify. Or the thunderstorms on Cape Cod during Nor' Easters. he'd use that magic wand thing and drag the "L" up. he'd yell a bunch of stuff...pause to take a breath...then yell a bunch more stuff. Blizz is a respected hobbiest/met in training, who has created a very accurate model - KFS/KURO It is without fail the best weenie model out there. Unfortunately, it does not do any runs after 7PM, has data ingestion problems, and other, minor issues

LOL just wait, you will soon see most of us joke heavily but when any real threat materializes real time info is priceless. Analogous to football practice where the first team is on the field walking through plays while us second stringers are on the sidelines busting chops, as soon as we get to play, the game face comes on. Lots of stupid fun and fantastic learning and sharing of real time info posts. You will really enjoy things when CT Blizz has pelts pinging off his head and you are SN+ for hours. CoastalWx
The pattern near mid month is strange. The trough sort of retros west and se ridge tries to build, yet so does the -NAO. The result is models trying to show a low developing in the Plains again, but also another weak low off the SE coast.

For example: Last nights torch.

Looked like it was going to set up in a good spot at day 7.

I'm becoming slightly more optimistic for some sort of a -NAO...even if its only a week or two's worth. That would be a real plus.
