Nah....just speaking hypothetically.

I prob avg about 8-10" through the end of Dec.....only 5.5" off, and we've just started the month.

You do a little better than that...probably closer to a foot. Like 2" November and 10" in Dec.

But a lot of the climo is toward the end of the month and for good reason, esp on the CP. You'll frequently be screwing around for the first 15-20 days of the month and then get a good event or two in the final week or 10 days.

I certainly wouldn't rule out an event before the 20th though either this year. I could see something happening in the 14th-18th time range.

Anyone who is getting their panties in a twist this early needs to take a deep breath and calm down. The average first measurable snow in Boston isn't usually until something like December 10. It's not at all uncommon to see a big dump at the end of December that dominates the snowfall for the month.

I have a serious skiing addiction and will probably be near suicidal if we get another warm year, but I am still calm and optimstic.

Welcome. Always room for a level headed local red-tagged skier. Look forward to your contributions!

Still 50/50 on early week outcome next week?

for what...any frozen?

Yeah I'd say so. For all frozen? It never was 50/50 for all frozen...and the chances of that right now are extremely low.

We still may need to watch for a more prolonged period of icing....but we need the confluence to our northeast to improve...right now its not impressive enough to contort the pressure field for long lasting CAD. So any icing or frozen looks to be fairly brief at the onset.

Id still be wary of that high trending stronger as we move closer. The wound up Midwest blizzard idea seems to be gone

Seconded.

I used to spend a lot of time in Chelmsford...no longer as Megan has moved to Natick. Pretty decent snow spot in SNE though up in Chelmsford. Great spot for SWFEs.

They usually remain on the right side of the cf, while I'm driving into a tree on route 129 E Billerica, as I cross it.

Will got his taste of the CF on 11/7. I was talking to him and he went from wet snow at the beginning of the Pru tunnel, to moderate snow at the end of the tunnel. No joke..lol.
