ORH_wxman
We will need a pretty huge torch in December to beat 1998 for warmest year...November is going to knock us back pretty decently once the data is compiled. Dec 1998 was like +5 to +6. (this is for CT) For MA, 1949 is the record and its going to be close.

ORH_wxman
GFS definitely threatening for ice...at least in the first part of the 12/11-12 storm. That is cold 2m temps for the usually CAD-absent GFS.
OSUmetstud
The biggest hit of 1970 was this..Hopefully the weeklies are not leading us down the wrong bridge All I suggest still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest..mmm...mmm (oh wait that's another song...) weathafella
Same sh't. Giants underperform during a. December torch like 1960...nearly the same date (12/4/60 vs12/3/12). 12/4/60 vs Dallas. 12/3/12 vs Washington. Ironically 12/11/60 was against the Red Skins in heavy snow. First season without Tom Landry as defensive coordinator...who of course had gone to Dallas as head coach for the expansion Cowboys that year. GEFS much less amped and west into the lakes than the 12z run....probably some flatter solutions in there with significant CAD.

CoastalWx
I think Donnie Baseball has it nailed, congrats New England http://www.americanw...05#entry1895815 That would be nice, but the Euro ensembles raise the AO to just below neutral.
