hawkeye_wx
It appears my snowfall total will be a trace. All morning we've been right on the edge of both the precip and the rain/snow line. We got a few minor bursts of light snow, but that's it. My streak with no measurable snow continues.
cyclone77
Turned out to be a very impressive snowstorm/blizzard for MN. Blizzard warnings have been expanded and cover more of southern/central MN. Now expecting up to 15"!

BowMeHunter
Heavy caking snow rules for me.. Most powder storms here are accompanied with wind and to much drifting for my liking and leaves grass tops still showing in my wind tunnel sometimes.. I like it to pile up evenly and the heavy wet has a little better staying power.
Chicago WX
my favorite cam shots so far on Northwoods Camera Network.. The best kind of snow. screw powder. Tyler and Wabasso, MN. That second cam FTW. So so pretty.
cyclone77
My brother just texted to say that he has about 3" in Apple Valley, a southern suburb of MSP. Pretty close to what a spotter in Anoka (northern subs) reported at 9:30am. There are some other reports of 5-6" surrounding MSP though.

Trent
Interesting... The Nam is usually fairly accurate in the 36-48 hr range. It would be a close call as temps are marginal. Possibly a sloppy inch or two for areas in the northeast part of the state verbatim:

Interesting tidbit..... it takes roughly 140 billion gallons of water to raise Michigan an inch. I assume that's Mich and huron.
