BowMeHunter
To bad the Pack/Lions game is at night.. Maybe can still catch some snow before it starts to wind down. Haven't been enough snowy NFL games of late.

Thundersnow12
It should be snowing in Chicago.... you're going to post a forecast sounding? who cares what it should be doing. Look at obs. Those aren't always right.
weathergy
you're going to post a forecast sounding? who cares what it should be doing. Look at obs. Those aren't always right. Nevermind. I figured out what was wrong with the sounding. There is a really shallow warm layer that it wasn't picking up on. For some reason it didn't have data higher than 950mb. Ajdos
How pathetic.. LOL... Im chatting with my cousin from Frankfurt, and yeah, she is loving the snow.. :$ I should move back http://www.helifliegen.de/Skycam/webcam/current.jpg
turtlehurricane
We're getting our first real accumulating snowfall! Between half an inch and an inch, covering all surfaces besides the road, it is a tad above freezing. Snow coming down steadily and radar indicates it's picking up in intensity. Looks like it's going to be snowing for awhile too, GFS says we'll get a few inches!

trapperman
THE RAP HAS 20 INCHES...LIKELY OVERDONE BUT IT`S HINTING AT THE POTENTIAL FOR SOMETHING SIGNIFICANT. THE PV FEATURE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SYSTEM IS IMPRESSIVE AND ITS ORIENTATION SUGGESTS A LONGER THAN EXPECTED PERIOD OF SNOW TODAY. ALREADY SEEING EVIDENCE OF A CIRCULATION IN THE REFLECTIVITY ACROSS SW MN. THIS SHOULD FEATURE SHOULD LIFT NORTH...BECOME ANCHORED PRODUCE 0.75-1.5" SNOWFALL RATES LATE THIS MORNING AND EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. INCREASED THE SNOWFALL IN THE TWIN CITIES METRO TO 8-11 INCHES...AND HOPEFULLY THAT IS ENOUGH TO COVER IT

Trent
12z NAM also develops back side snows for much of eastern Ohio tomorrow, looks good enough for a few inches.
Stebo
12z NAM also develops back side snows for much of eastern Ohio tomorrow, looks good enough for a few inches. Might be fighting BL issues there, it might be close though.
hawkeye_wx
We are sitting on the southern edge of the precip band and it's just a mix of light rain and sleet. Dubuque has over an inch of snow this morning. Update: Some snowflakes are mixing in now and increasing.
snowstormcanuck
Wow RAP, also shows 3-5" for Toronto folks: We're going to be fighting an intrusion of warm air above 800 mb. Going to need some decent p-rates to keep the column cool otherwise it might be a quick transition to PL. But even an inch of sn and pl is better than what it looked like 24 hours ago. turtlehurricane
Flake size and intensity increasing dramatically over the last half hour as the band moves in, looks like we have hours of this to come so I wouldn't be surprised if MKX extends the winter weather advisory into Dane county. BowMeHunter
nothing but a mist at the dog park this am.. radar shows dry slot for now in far se. Nice area just south of La Crosse blossoming and looks to hit DDL.. Enjoy.
Nelson
33.4F with light to moderate snow here west of Madison. Woke up to a .5" - at least anothe .5" since then. Think we may bust high on this event given forecast of 1-3" As I type, looks like MKX just expanded Winter Weather Advisory to Dane for 3-4"
cyclone77
Wow, ended up being a very good storm for MSP. Hey DDL looks like you have at least another 3-5" on top of what you already got. RGEM has you in the jackpot zone, but the NAM/GFS/RAP show that area a hair to the north. If the heaviest totals settle a little further south than what they show you could get at least another 6". Chicago WX
Looks like some "busts" in a positive direction for parts of MN and WI. Very nice. And good luck to the Toronto folks. Even an inch or two would be good, no? 12z NAM has some mood flakes for LAF tomorrow (has 0.2" actually, but let's not get silly). Would be appreciated. michsnowfreak
my favorite cam shots so far on Northwoods Camera Network.. The best kind of snow. screw powder. Tyler and Wabasso, MN. When I was up in Grayling this past March 2-4th, they had a storm drop a solid foot of dense, wet, heavy snow (which I had a rain gauge for water content ). On top of the 1-2 feet on the ground this created the most beautiful scenes I HAD EVER SEEN. Even the locals said they couldnt remember such a scenic snow. All that said, in the end, I will still take powder over wet snow.
