Midlo Snow Maker
That was a pretty short-lived stay at americanwx. North Balti Zen
Not sure, but it may have something to do with NE Balti's post. A "was it over when the Germans bombed Peral Harbor" joke was made and whoever that was corrected it to point out that it was the Japanese doing the bombing. Which yielded my cultural ignorance post, and then the rest. Not much to see, really. Much like the weather since Sandy.

mitchnick
in light of model performance and screwy PAC, anything we get this year is going to be out of seemingly nowhere, and probably last minute

Ian
Don't worry.. odds are still up for when I'm out of town at the end of the mo. Though I've never missed a snow event so it could just be cold and dry. Of course, these days it's hard to miss a snow event.

I think members need to pool their money and send me to some tropical island as I missed a lot of storms when on travel, some really big ones (1983, 2000) come to mind. The latter produced over 15 inches at my house probably more as I didn't measure it until 36 hrs after the storm was over.

Last year's pac onslaught denied most of us. It was even one of the worst ski years in the rockies too. Just a bad bad pattern for a long long time and it was really hard to get days and days of snow.

I've heard that too if you like tents but I only go first class and neither Kent Island nor Haiti fit the bill. and no I won't go to Aruba as it seems you can get away with murder there and suspect some here wouldn't mind me vanishing for awhile. Anyway, at least the pattern looks like it will be cold for xmas.
