WxUSAF
cool. i just figured this child is waiting until it snows before wanting to make its way in to the world, doesn't seem to be in much of a hurry right now. Wondered if you had popped yet. Due date is this week? Time frame for storms is next Tue-Thur and then the following Mon-Tue (Xmas eve and Xmas). Hey, we're 24 hours away from this being in your wheelhouse. You better have some good analysis and make it snow.

WxUSAF
Talking about rain-to-snow or snow-to-rain made me think...it really seems that since I moved back here (in 09), we either get snow or rain and rarely the snow, sleet, fzra, rain mixed bags I remember so often as a kid (80s-90s). Anybody else have that sense or is this just a mental selection effect in play?

Ian
the way it all comes together is still too tricky to have much faith in. the model skill is almost zero at that range when it comes to details. i think people like to block that out. see what the new euro says soon. I'm gonna wait until I actually see the euro as I only saw day 4 but it certainly takes a low pretty far north. ditto for me about snow but it is so far out there I guess its' not totally impossible, just not very likely. H2O
Poor DT, after he went and told everyone the GFS was BS and the Euro's cutter idea was correct. It will flop 3 more times and then cut. DT is always right
MillzPirate
why the f would he amend it based on one model run for a storm that is a week away? Not his analysis, but if for instance, he referenced the Euro, saying it was a lake cutter would no longer be correct. Moody?
WxUSAF
It will flop 3 more times and then cut. DT is always right Whatever happens, he will say the Euro had the right idea and that's the way he was leaning from the beginning. And if the Euro was wrong, it's not its fault. If DT was a Ravens fan, the Euro is Joe Flacco and the GFS is Cam Cameron.
