It's foggy tonight. And as the old saying goes:

If a fog be thick on a mid December's eve,

A shivering wind will soon blow.

And the chill that it brings in no hurry to leave,

On its breath shall awaken a fresh Winter snow.

Man, I sure hope that's right. :)

Cool. I've got one!!

Roses are red,

violets are blue.

If you're counting on snow,

you'll get the big screw.

Ah the screw, as you say, that old screw it will too

Do all of the things that a screw likes to do.

But what it loves most is to screw

Screw

Screw

Screw

Every dreaming of snow that you ever knew.

1 awesome winter, and then a 2nd in progress.(60 inches of snow in a winter and a half) We had snow on our road for week, with no sign of them scraping.. and no sign of it melting. So,. I bought those freaking snow tires. The melt was soon after, and I don't think I have seen more than a few inches of snow(and that's no doubt an embellishment) total since then.

I killed winter, just because I wasn't willing to take my life into my own hands and go spinning and sliding within an inch of my life up and down my hill.

It was me(and those freaking snow tires). Winter is dead... and it's all my fault.

This doesn't mean you get to disappear until it snows again <_<:P

Fixed

Yeah. Here is Obama earlier with some siblings of the slain children.

I can appreciate this from a President. Regardless of voting and whatever convention anyone falls under, this is Presidential and necessary. Glad to see this. There's just no way to grasp this sickening tragedy, especially for those parents right now.

In November the Piedmont Triad International Airport recorded .24" of rain. That made November 2012 the driest November on record. In one day we have "out rained" all of November. On Sunday, December 16 we recorded .28" of rain !! And more rain is on the way !!!

A lot of people are asking about cold weather and where is it?? Just in time for the First day of Winter....on Friday, December 21 highs will only be in the 40s and it will be windy. Overnight lows will drop into the 20s for several days.

Right now it looks like Christmas Eve and Christmas will be dry with seasonal highs around 50 and lows in the 20s. With cold air in place, have to keep an eye on Dec 26 and Dec 27. Will we see rain during that time period or freezing rain ??

I think its good to know its not just the South-East suffering...there is no need to move out of the area.

It has been 287 days since there has been a measurable snowfall in Chicago, Ill., setting a new record. The latest that Chicago has received its first measurable snow was December 16, 1965, so say goodbye to that record too.

Just my contribution to the poetry slam!

If it's snow you want,

It's snow you'll get

Whether an inch or two or more

On fantasy runs

Long range maps

And all else that's in store

If we don't like what we see

Wait for another run

Or just walk out of the door

The winter storm thread watch

Is played out this way

And this thread is never a bore!
