Cold Rain
Oh and by the way, we'd better not hear one time this winter that it can't snow in the low/mid 40s. Not one time.

Jon
Not really unexpected...Blacksburg mentioned the chance. Not sure about Raleigh tho. They mentioned it at 11am, good enough for RAH. SATELLITE AND IMAGERY NOTES A LARGE AREA OF STRATO-CUMULUS ACROSS THE NORTHERN PORTION OF THE PIEDMONT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS LAYER OF MOISTURE. IN FACT...RECENT RADAR IMAGERY HAS SHOWN A SMALL AREA OF ENHANCED REFLECTIVITIES UP TO 30DBZ MOVING ACROSS PARTS OF WAKE/GRANVILLE/FRANKLIN COUNTIES AND GIVEN THE THERMAL STRUCTURE OF THE OBSERVED/FORECAST SOUNDINGS SOME FLURRIES OR SPRINKLES ARE POSSIBLE AS THIS FEATURE MOVES QUICKLY EAST. I just moved from that area, lived in the Leesville area about 5 minutes from Brier Creek. My brother lived in some nice townhomes there, good area! 1234snow
Picked up around half an inch of snow this morning and it is still spitting snow right now. Temps haven't made it above freezing all day and probably won't. This is what winter is supposed to feel like. Not a bad Lakes Cutter at all. Had .75 of rain yesterday, 40mph winds and now 1/2 an inch of snow. Not bad at all. The sad part is that I now have more snow than all of last winter. calculus1
Pretty amazing treat for me to see the snow flakes fall from the sky today: Ten years ago today my wife and I were married. We also had snow flurries that day. An awesome anniversary present for me. My tenth anniversary...the winter solstice...snow flurries...and the end of the world. All on the same day!
