Not really unexpected...Blacksburg mentioned the chance. Not sure about Raleigh tho.

They mentioned it at 11am, good enough for RAH.

SATELLITE AND IMAGERY NOTES A LARGE AREA OF

STRATO-CUMULUS ACROSS THE NORTHERN PORTION OF THE PIEDMONT

ASSOCIATED WITH THIS LAYER OF MOISTURE. IN FACT...RECENT RADAR

IMAGERY HAS SHOWN A SMALL AREA OF ENHANCED REFLECTIVITIES UP TO

30DBZ MOVING ACROSS PARTS OF WAKE/GRANVILLE/FRANKLIN COUNTIES AND

GIVEN THE THERMAL STRUCTURE OF THE OBSERVED/FORECAST SOUNDINGS SOME

FLURRIES OR SPRINKLES ARE POSSIBLE AS THIS FEATURE MOVES QUICKLY

EAST.

Also saw some sleet/flurries here in Brier Creek around 10:45am.

Dang! I just moved from that area, lived in the Leesville area about 5 minutes from Brier Creek. My brother lived in some nice townhomes there, good area!

Picked up around half an inch of snow this morning and it is still spitting snow right now. Temps haven't made it above freezing all day and probably won't. This is what winter is supposed to feel like. :snowwindow:

Not a bad Lakes Cutter at all. Had .75 of rain yesterday, 40mph winds and now 1/2 an inch of snow. Not bad at all. The sad part is that I now have more snow than all of last winter.

Buckeyefan / wow ? Where is weather nc and lookout? Haven't seen weather nc on here in forever. Thanks

They are still on that vacation they took once I became green

They are both are just extremely busy at the moment, but I'm sure the lack of cliff divers and the talk of possible winter precp has alerted them to show up soon ;)
