Wind gusts reached close to 50 mph between 1 and 2 am this morning, after a relative "lull", winds have ramped up again with general sustained winds 20-25 mph, with gusts occasionally reached 40 mph. roughly 9:45 am, a 45 mph wind gust ripped 4 or 5 limbs off a tree across the street and a subsequent leaf devil (anticyclonic) carried 2 branches 50 feet lifting them about 5 feet off the ground. Temperatures still holding in the mid 40's with these cold advective winds, literally feels like a cold slap to the face.

I still cannot believe we do not have an advisory out for us yet. It is just ripping right now. Heavy wind driven snowfall.

Yeah, it looks like the NWFS event is over-performing. Clouds have moved in down here now and we are in the upper 30's to around 40 degrees with a stiff wnw wind. Might even see some flurries if some of that moisture can survive the downsloping.

Ya it is. I had started another thread about this event a couple days ago thinking it was looking pretty good. I think as the day goes on the radar good get more interesting down across the foothill with a liitle daytime heating taking place. Still rippin here. Just beautiful. I will post pics a little later.
