downeastnc Posted December 26, 2012 Share Posted December 26, 2012 Today has been a roller coaster, started off in the mid 40's now in the upper 60's and will end up back in the mid 30's by morning, plenty of thunder and rain some winds gusting mid 30's but not as bad as it could have been had the warm front been quicker to come inland. We are down to 34 degrees and dropping with a heavy burst of snow. Would not surprise me if the Winter Weather Advisory was extended into the NC mountains later this afternoon or evening with a stiff north west flow. A lot of wind here in Kingsport....temps dropping here as well. 31 in Crossville. 41 here. Sharp gradient. This is definitely my type of weather.
