Ginx snewx
JK Giuseppe, loving this weather, got tons done this morning outside. On another note, had the pleasure yesterday to be in the labs at work yesterday when the staff archeology brought in a very significant historical find from a dig site in RI. Very cool CSI type process of ID including Xrays. What was cool was it was discovered in a sediment layer dated around 1635, they think there was an historical flood which deposited the coins and artifacts. Some times my job can be very interesting. Damage In Tolland
This is what to look for in the great winters. These sneaky powerful over performing cold shots that stick a dagger in a torch. This was supposed to be very mild 7 day period with one brief mild down. Now today and tomorrow a bit cooler than thought and Wed knives in an arctic shot. ORH_wxman
Euro synoptically has been looking like an icing setup in the interior for couple runs now for 12/11. That is some pretty vintage CAD.
ORH_wxman
Verbatim it is snow to ice to rain for interior...but I have a feeling with the high in that position near N Maine...it would be pretty tough to get the cold out. Still an eternity thougb before worrying about any details though.

weathafella
Looks like plenty of chances in a wintry period 12/10-12 through 12-22 ish.
CoastalWx
I can't even remember now but I thought there was talk about Fri- Sunday being above or Much above? Thats all dependent on what the storm does. This will be tough to determine 7 days out and I bet models change several times beforehand.
Ginx snewx
A muted thaw is the theme so far this cold season, got to stick with persistence until shown other wise.
ORH_wxman
Definitely some chances after 12/10....Euro has what could be a very wintry storm on 12/11...could be a cutter too though. Then it has another opportunity right behind it.

ctsnowstorm628
Definitely a stormy pattern coming up with several wintery chances Yeah, looks like 12/8-9 could be a minor over running event for parts of NNE as well. 12/11 looks really good for this far out. We'll see.
ctsnowstorm628
Thinking this is going to be a fantastic stretch for nne and ski country. I tend to agree. Plenty of chances, with the gradient settling south as we head toward 12/20.
Typhoon Tip
the transition to +pna is well underway and the 11th event may in fact be the entrance scenario discussed in the other thread, but this run clearly has wave interference issues. not that anyone is but i wouldn't look any deeper into this run than a rip and read. it's not going to be worth it to do so -

This could be a snowstorm or it could track over BUF. I will say that the trough axis and high pressure position looks pretty darn classic for icing in the interior...almost striking image of ice storm climo....but those things can easily change as we get closer. Way too far out to get nitpicky...agreed.

powderfreak
Mud season has come early... first thaw of the season, listening to the drip, drip, drip of snow melting off my roof right now.
