Damage In Tolland
And Albany has nothing in effect. These are the days in the media we just ignore NWS watches/warning/advisories. Wait until HPC takes over the offices which is probably coming fully over the next few years. That will really help streamline things.
dendrite
Can someone please explain to me why a winter wx advisory is in effect for N CT while a freezing rain advisory is in effect for S CT. Is it all ZR/R in CT now or are there still pockets of IP/S?

It's up to 30.7 here..so we'll above 32 by midnite...but those valleys will be 32 or under until 8:00 tomorrow morning Still upper teens here, though little if anything is falling from the sky. Took about 10 hr to accumulate 0.2". Major CAD, and with pressure at about 1035, it might be noon tomorrow before the cold air gets scoured out of the foothills. ORH_wxman
27 with freezing fog lightly glazing everything. Feels like a mid-winter night out there. What a fun start to meteorological winter...the events where CAD holds much longer and light snow falls for much of the day are always fun. We get a break here over the next several days, but it looks like we could get active again and wintry around the 10th and beyond.

weatherMA
I was out for the end of when it was falling but I had 0.8". Okay thanks. It seemed like around .6 or .7 at my house today, so that makes sense. I had .9" up here at Plymouth today. Brings the season total at home to 6.1" and at school to 1.1". Let's hope we can get some systems which can't overwhelm the cold like the incoming torch. Meanwhile, nothing like a snowy day to begin met winter.
