I am so jealous of those pics...reminds me of the ~2.5" that fell in early February of 2011 except that it fell on top of 2+ feet of snow cover...freshened things up after it had started to melt...can't remember the exact date...2/10?

Those are nice pics from all of you. Wet snow is the best..there really is no comparison. It looks so much more impressive than wind blown fluff.

However, my second favorite type of snow (this is rare for the coast due to wind), are those perfect dendrites that fall with no wind and pile up on everything. The type that sort of fall and cascade down the sides of cars or what have you...and make an 18" snowfall look like 2'+.

It looks like this, although I don't know when or where this was taken.
