We should have at least 4. Congrats dude. Glad we agree on amounts this time. Much more fun snowwindow.gif

I sent in 3.5" to Taunton, but it's still snowing. There's about 2.5" on my deck and 3.5" on my lawn which is dead and matted grass at this point in the season. The snow is very wet and heavy with parts of my driveway still not snowcovered.

That's probably why the other Tolland dude is at 2.5"....measuring on a snow board most likely.

My road is covered..Most of the driveway is..but with no more than an inch on pavement. This should stick around thru early Sunday anyway.

Still can't believe this took down a white pine limb. That's like stuff that happens in North Attleboro to Ekster after 1/2 inch of snow

That's why I always post pics...and that shot you posted of your front yard looked like a solid 2.5-3" on those bushes Totally believable you are at 3.5" and climbing.

Pics leave no doubt...

Yeah there was exactly 2.5 OTG at 5:00 when i got home..and there is now exactly 3.5 Not sure if we eek out another half inch.

I 'll never understand the doubters and folks that question amounts..

Even when you post pictures, they still do it.

the morning shots will leave no doubt, yet the questions will still come from the usual suspects

Well it still is the Internet so there's always a little skepticism, but just throw up one photo and that erases any doubt.

Make obs and document the hell out of it, lol.

He made the mistake of not posting pics in the first event when he claimed 9 inches. The guy I talk to in Union had close to that amounts so I believed him. Today is a much more difficult exercise for snowfall measuring because grass will be even more different than a snowboard....its most different early in the season and when temps are very marginal.

People often ask me why some place had a different snowfall amount right next to another place. I always tell them it is usuall measuring techniques that create the differences. Some do every 6 hours, some don't. Some measure on grass, others use a snow board.

I'll issue a very nice forecast and call to Scooter for nailing where the highest totals would fall and for sticking to his guns when others tried dissuading him.

Jerry too.

A round of weenie applause to you both

I think a lot of people on here did a good job at highlighting the areas where highest amounts would occur, and the discrepensies that could take place depending on certain situations. Many said the highest elevations of NE CT and western RI, and that has come to fruition.

My personal favorite weenie move is when folks say, "well there's 8 inches on my deck over 15 hours, but I'm going to report 10" because that's what it would've been if I cleared every 6 hours."

I thought parts of interior RI and adjacent CT could do 4-5 fairly easily this morning. I thought tonights band would give them 2-3 after 1-2 this morning. I was too high there. But, glad you got 3+ or whatever it was.

I took the under on Kevin's "4-5 inches easily" but he won't give kudos because I made the snowboard comment, lol. Not that it will keep me up at night...but he is a like a little kid when it snows.

He was in that area on the line..I thought a good 3-4 there earlier this morning, but the area between him and interior srn CT I was probably a little high ..although I don't know the amounts that fell..... or really said amounts....just what I thought in my head. Personal forecasting..lol. You had good thoughts for CT this morning.

One thing you can't miss...the Scooter Screwjie.
