Cold Miser
Back to big flakes down here. Awesome stuff. November to never forget. Hurricane, warning snowfall, and a minor winter event. Has that ever happen before? Probably not. Maybe sometime in the next decade we will see this for the first time as it didn't happen this year either. ChrisM
I just went through all the traffic cams in ct, cant find any with snow on the ground, it must be confined to the highest elevations? there's a good deal of snow OTG here and I'm at like 550' about the same elevation as exit 68 on 84. Damage In Tolland
congrats on getting the D-2" we talked about yesterday though! Already around 2 with heavier burst to come this evening. Should end up with
CT Rain
I think Storrs east through Ginx may be close to the CT jackpot.
CT Rain
Already around 2 with heavier burst to come this evening. Should end up with 4 You do not. You have 1.3" OTG per latest reports. In addition, you have garbage downstream of you with very light snow falling. I think Ginx is in a good spot for this... you should struggle past 2". ChrisM
I think Storrs east through Ginx may be close to the CT jackpot. eh, it'd have to do something soon. Not much OTG so far, although it is covered (grassy sfcs). I would guess it's still under an inch.

Allsnow
The hurricane happened in October. Down here it was all a blurr. Obviously impacts where greater down here. Looking and watching models the last few days, has me thinking its january. In reality its not even december

Tolland Death Band
nada It is a curious thing how nothing sticks around the freeway - DOT cams are a big lie, LOL. Too much salt on the grass?
ChrisM
Well by jackpot I meant like 2-3 lol you don't think that as the low moves away some more intense precip will come down? Nice band just popped up moving toward RI
Damage In Tolland
I'm clooking at the coastal throwing up some Hvy precip tonight, not the snow over us now
ORH_wxman
It is a curious thing how nothing sticks around the freeway - DOT cams are a big lie, LOL. Too much salt on the grass? It definitely melted a bit there...earlier when I looked at the cam, the grass was getting slushy and turning whitish. But it looks like when the precip intensity slowed, it melted a little. That's the importance of precip rates in these types of events.

Ginx snewx
LL I think when the intensity dropped there was a lot of melting. I was down in Lisbon 2 exits up from 395 Norwich cam and there was about 3/4 on the ground and the offramps were getting snow cover. Since then it was melting here as I heard the gutters running. Now though steady snow has begun again and there is no melting.

Clinch Leatherwood
18z NAM actually a little more aggressive over coastal areas tonight but it's just mood flakes if it's flakes at all. Higher elevations got 1-2 obviously and congrats on the jackpot this evening, enjoy the snow Steve-o !!
leesun
FWIW, I had .5" on grassy surfaces, but most of it has melted since the intensity has let up alot

CoastalWx
We'll see how it works out, but I think the heavier activity will not make it as far north as I thought earlier. That may prevent the higher amounts possible. This stuff was supposed to weaken so that is expected, but I'm unsure how this stuff develops overnight..it's probably going to be more in areas with a questionable boundary layer. We'll just see how it goes...but that's my concern. On the plus side, continued ern MA srcew job up this way looks to go as planned.
