Clinch Leatherwood
I'm not far from you right now and it's sort of doing the same here. I think we are toast tonight though...BL just gets milder and milder...unless the new guidance is somehow showing a colder scenario. Euro is kind of blah tonight. Not sure we'll see as much of a push west. R/S may well setup along or between 24 and 3.
Damage In Tolland
Now I see what Chris M was talking about, as soon as Brian 90210 posted about radar DIX in NW NJ ballooned up, lol. Hate not having KOKX Yup
sfenn1117
Nothing sticking in Manchester. Roads wet, no white anywhere. On the tolland turnpike in Manchester. Not much to speak of in Hartford either...not even sticking to car tops. Some frosted tips on the grass that's about it.
Clinch Leatherwood
Euro is kind of blah, RAP shows precip for the next 4-6 hours over much of the region before it collapses towards the SE over RI/MA and parts of CT. No signs of the death trough like the GFS far as I can see.

Hate not having KOKX It's snowing at a much better clip than radar would suggest right now because of the lack of the OKX site I'm pretty sure

sfenn1117
5-10 DBZ radar returns ain't going to cut it. Not at 34. Even Oxford airport at around 700 feet is
ChrisM
5-10 DBZ radar returns ain't going to cut it. I don't think they're quite accurate. I have 5 dbz over my head and it's snowing moderately.
CoastalWx
LOL, you guys, It's pretty light stuff, so not sure what if any accumulates. Gonna have to wait. Kevin, it's also possible the better stuff is SE of you too. Again, just gonna have to wait and see.
powderfreak
1.5" on grass also equals about 1.0" on a snowboard in most cases unless the grass is basically completely flat/dead. I have an area where I measure now that has plywood down, so its a snowboard. Yeah very true... measuring on grass is always going to have an added half inch or even more depending on how fluffy the snow is or how big the dendrites are. My snowstake in my yard for example (on the grass) is showing a little over 3" on the ground, but the grill only has about 2-2.5" on it. I'm sure the difference is the air trapped between snow/grass. Typhoon Tip
Hey Will ...Scott ... if we can get this pig +PP to slow down it's exit, this two day period becomes a bit of a low end icing/overrunning ...it's been flagged for awhile. As is you gotta figure this is good for a band of snow to ice to rain

Sugarloaf1989
Steady light snowfall here with small cold dry flakes. Not sticking to roads just yet, but it propbably will after 2-3pm torwards sunset if it's still snowing hard enough

USCAPEWEATHERAF
Some real nice returns to the south of the coastline and now showing up over the Islands and the Cape. Still raining here as we are under light returns. However the heavy stuff is coming and the coastal is developing east of the Delmarva peninsula a little earlier and further west than modeled, according to SPC mesoanalysis. powderfreak
Don't let DomNH read this. He claimed there was no air when he used to measure on tall grass. lol... well its easy to see if you walk on the grass. There's snow on top and grass on the bottom. Not sure how someone could stick a ruler into a lawn (probably dig it into the ground a little bit too, just to be sure) and not see the issue. Measure on a deck, grill, trash can, whatever you have to but don't take new snowfall measurements on a previously bare lawn, lol.

CoastalWx
Yeah Tip, the GFS actually has had this for a while. It might be my best chance yet for accumulation...lol. Despite thicknesses, that is a classic low level cold shot.
ChrisM
BDL and DXR 1/2 SM Like I said, radar =/= ground obs today, but many are dwelling on the fact that there are only 5 dbz echoes overhead.
