Abt 2.0" here on the snow board with some light snow still falling. The last inch came in the last couple of hours. A nice little event overall. Elevation definitely helped.

I left work in Springfield with rain and no snow only to find the higher elevations along my drive home plastered. I always like those storms where the snow sticks to everything! Very pretty out.

Maybe I'll squeeze out a few more tenths?

Yea it's really pretty out, surprised how well it has snowed tonight. Nice ending.

Nice, great Nov. let's hope Donnie Baseballs take on the AO state is dead nuts. Rocking times mid month. This week might have a surprise left too. Windexy.

I can never get too excited in early December (or late November). If we see winter and a few storms by late Dec. early Jan., that's good in my book.

The banding is cool looking. It's probably indicative of some of that instability I mentioned yesterday.....only problem is that you need to be about 1500'...lol.

Yeah I'm at 150' no dice. Temp pegged at 38.5. This song rocked Newport.

Will sent me a pic...they did well in ORH...about 1.5" I believe.

Temp just dropped to 37.9 but still no love on the snow. This is a legitimate band as we'd been discussing. A month later we'd be going to town but the 50 degree water temps are just too much to overcome. Really it's only snowed 1 time and accumulated down this way this early and that was 02 as others indicated.

This is all I can do the rest of the night...dreaming about Winter Storm Bertha.

Oh, OK...I am confused, then. Someone flagged me through web spotter from Tolland at 4.2 inches from the board though not the other Kevin (he is a trained spotter)!!! This one came in as a "public" report.

You are all set on our PNS from 635 PM, Kevin (this is getting real confusing!! hehe...). Thanks.

Kev is measuring each flake but I'll say this Bow.

I'm at 150 feet or so off the water. If someone dropped a grand and set up an anemometer here they'd measure winds that far exceed the nearby stations by 20-30% in every storm. He's way to my west on a high perch in CT. It's hard to relate where he lives to the rest of us. It's all the crap he gets that keeps me from putting a very expensive wind gauge up.

Same as last year though. It's not terrible but here's a concept I'll toss out. I think depth of warmth is a factor we don't fully understand yet. Plays a roll in tropical systems for sure. This water was like a bath all year. Warmth went down many feet. It's going to take time to cool it off and the upcoming few weeks won't cut it.

Good for you guys inland a bit, blows for me but maybe come later January in the climo favored times it'll be good here.

Got more than I thought when I returned home. Very elevation dependent though. About 600 feet only had about a half inch or so...near 1.5" with over 2" on the grass up 400-500 feet higher.

Good stuff Will. Liking the old school light colors on display.

Temp diving here but too little too late.

Nice Will. My mom reported just a coating on the grass at 475'.

Yeah not surprised. There wasn't even much at about 600 feet. Maybe a half inch. 750-800 feet seemed to be a line where an inch was and the trees were caked.

Yes sir they are, barring any surprises of course.

The only surprise I see is on the wrong side. Winter ... At least the early part may be dominated by PAC influences with oscillations triggered by blocking or lack thereof. Not sold on the switch flip mid December.

Regardless better than last winter I guess!
